Burhan Briefed on Public Prosecution Performance

The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, has been briefed on the performance of the Public Prosecution during the past period and its efforts to establish justice and protect human rights.
Burhan on Sunday received the Sudanese Attorney General, Intisar Ahmed Abdel, where the meeting addressed plans and programs implemented by the Public Prosecution to achieve justice and the rule of law, in addition to the field visits conducted by prosecution teams to a number of prisons in the states to assess the conditions of the inmates.
The meeting also discussed the significant work undertaken by the Public Prosecution in investigating the serious crimes and violations committed by the Dagalo terrorist militia against civilians, as well as combating corruption, ensuring accountability, and protecting human rights.
