Government Announces Imminent Launching of National Electronic Procurement System

The Sudanese Minister of State at the Ministry of Finance, Mohamed Nour Abdel-Daim, has announced the completion of the design of the electronic national procurement system, paving the way for the transition from the traditional manual procurement system to an electronic one.
He explained that the program includes a platform dedicated to government tenders and bids, and preparations are underway to launch the system as a fully integrated digital platform for the government procurement cycle. This will enhance efficiency and transparency in government procurement, connecting government entities with suppliers, the financial system, reports, and other national systems.
The Minister pointed out that the most important feature of this electronic system is its contribution to reducing paperwork in procurement procedures, saving time and effort in completing government procurement and contracting processes. He stated that the system is part of the Public Finance Reform Program, praising the role of the IT engineers at the Ministry of Finance and their valuable efforts.
