Sudan Doctors: Seven Killed, 13 Injured in Militia Bombing of Dilling

Khartoum -Sudanhorizon
Seven people were killed and several others injured in deliberate artillery shelling by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militias and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N) led by Abdel Aziz al-Hilu on the city of Dilling, South Kordofan State.
The Sudanese Doctors Network said in a statement on Tuesday that the shelling killed seven people, including a child, and injured 13 others, including three women, after targeting residential areas. This resulted in casualties and widespread panic among the resident civilians.
The network emphasized that the continued targeting of residential areas with artillery shelling by the RSF and the SPLM-N constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, which forbids attacks on civilians and populated areas. It also reflects the extent of the suffering endured by civilians in conflict zones as a result of the military escalation and the continued deliberate shelling.
The Sudanese Doctors Network held the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and the Popular Movement (SPLM-N) fully responsible for the killing of civilians, including women and children, and called on the international community, UN and human rights organizations to take urgent action to pressure for an end to the targeting of civilians, and not to remain silent about these repeated violations, which have become a challenge to the stability of citizens and a cause of forced displacement.
