CAF Extends Licensing Period for Clubs Participating in African Championships

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially extended the licensing period for clubs participating in African Club Championships for the 2026-2027 season until July 25, 2026.
The decision gives clubs more time to complete the requirements and standards of the club licensing system, a prerequisite for participation in CAF continental championships.
Sudan is represented by four clubs in the Champions League and Confederation Cup: Al-Hilal, Al-Merreikh, Hilal Port Sudan, and Al-Ahli Wad Madani.
