Education Minister Reviews Exam Arrangements for West Kordofan Students

The Federal Minister of Education and National Upbringing, Dr. Al-Tahami Al-Zein Hajar, discussed the arrangements and preparations for students of West Kordofan to sit for the 2026 Secondary School Certificate examinations, as well as coordination with the relevant authorities to prepare alternative examination centers in North Kordofan.

The federal minister received at his office in Omdurman on Monday the Minister of Education and Guidance of West Kordofan State, Engineer Karar Abdelhadi Ahmed Al-Basha. The meeting addressed the state’s needs in terms of student seating, textbooks, and improving the school environment, and reviewed statistics on teachers and schools in the state.

According to the Sudan News Agency, Minister Al-Tahami affirmed his support for the state and his commitment to meeting its priorities and needs. He pointed to the ministry’s close follow-up on displaced students from West Kordofan currently in North Kordofan, noting that a national committee was formed and visited all schools hosting displaced students in the state. The committee has submitted a comprehensive report outlining the schools’ needs.

Al-Tahami called for the completion of the necessary statistics, which will be forwarded to the relevant authorities, and commended the efforts exerted by the State Minister of Education and Guidance.
