A Turkish Delegation Concludes Visit to Gezirah Stat, Discusses Hospital Needs

A delegation from the Turkish Ministry of Health, visiting Sudan, concluded an inspection tour of Gezirah State. During the tour, they reviewed the final stages of the rehabilitation and operation of the emergency hospital in Wad Madani, paving the way for the resumption of trauma and acute care services for citizens.

Those who participated in the tour included health officials at both the state and federal levels, headed by Dr. Osama Abdel Rahman Ahmed Al-Faki, Director General of Health in Gezirah Dr. Haider Mohamed Abdel Nabi, representative of the Federal Ministry of Health, and Dr. Omar Youssef Al-Tay, Director of Planning and Development in Al-Jazirah State.
The field visit included inspecting the restored departments and identifying essential deficiencies to achieve maximum readiness. The Turkish delegation commended the efforts made to restore the healthcare system, emphasizing Turkey’s commitment to contributing to strengthening health capabilities and building the health sector in Gezirah
