Sundanese Defense Industries Takes Care of Famed Artist Sumaya Hassan in Cairo

On the instructions of the Director General of the Defense Industries System, Lieutenant General Mirghani Idris, the Director of the System’s Social Responsibility Department, Engineer Omaima Abdullah Saleh, on Saturday paid a visit artist Sumaya Hassan to check on her health after her arrival in Cairo and the commencement of medical examinations.
Engineer Omaima conveyed to artist Sumaya the System’s leadership commitment to providing full medical and social care for her and her companion.
The Director of the Social Responsibility Department at the Defense Industries System stated that the visit comes within the framework of the System’s social role and its commitment to honoring Sudanese creative figures. She noted Lieutenant General Mirghani Idris’s concern for Ms. Sumaya Hassan’s health and his follow-up on her condition. She added that the System’s commitment to covering her treatment is a moral obligation before it is an institutional responsibility, indicating that follow-up will continue until her full recovery and safe return.
She affirmed that the Defense Industries System will remain committed to supporting creative individuals and those who contribute to the nation, in appreciation of their contributions and their role in shaping the Sudanese identity. For her part, artist Sumaya Hassan expressed her joy and conveyed her gratitude and appreciation to Lieutenant General Mirghani Idris Suleiman, Director General of the Defense Industries System, acknowledging the system’s sponsorship of her medical treatment and praising what she described as a noble national and humanitarian gesture.
It is worth noting that artist Sumaya Hassan has been a regular presence at all national events and has contributed significantly to major national productions she has performed with the Armed Forces Music Corps and with numerous other artists and creative individuals over the past years
