Khartoum State discusses with “Irrigated Agricultural Projects Coordination Council” Resumption of Activities

The Director General of the Khartoum State Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Resources, and Irrigation, Sir Al-Khatim Fadl Al-Mawla, met on Wednesday with members of the Irrigated Agricultural Projects Coordination Council to discuss progress made in rehabilitating these projects and restoring them to their productive capacity. The meeting also addressed the project budgets for thr fiscal 2026.
The Director General commended the efforts of the Al-Salit Project management in rehabilitating the project and bringing it back into production after its destruction by the Rapid Support Forces militia.
He added that the project’s budget was realistic and noted that the Projects Committee had submitted its funding proposals to the state. He urged project managers to adhere to the directives of the State Ministry of Finance and to ensure accuracy and detail in internal financial transactions when presenting them to the auditor.
He also called for administrative restructuring within the projects to improve performance.
For their part, the project managers requested improvements in the working environment for employees within the projects, particularly regarding housing.
