UNSC and African Peace and Security Councils Hold Joint Session in Addis Ababa, Friday

The UN Security Council and the African Peace and Security Council will hold a joint consultation session, this Friday.

The official consultation session will be preceded by preparatory meetings for experts from both councils to prepare for the upcoming meeting.

Well informed diplomatic source explained to Sudanhorizon that the joint Friday meeting is an annual consultative meeting between the African Peace and Security Council and the United Nations Security Council, representing the 19th edition.

It is held annually to discuss various conflict issues in Africa in all its regions, including Sudan. And the war in Sudan is expected to be the subject of significant discussion and deliberations during the upcoming joint session.
