Trilateral Meeting in New York Between Foreign Ministers of Egypt, Sudan and Trump Advisor

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that a trilateral meeting took place in New York, bringing together Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mohi El-Din Salem, Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Expatriates Badr Abdelatty, and Massad Boulos, Senior Advisor to the US President for Arab and African Affairs. The meeting aimed to discuss developments in Sudan and efforts to end the conflict and restore security and stability.

The discussion focused on ways to build upon existing efforts to de-escalate tensions and create an environment conducive to reaching a sustainable political settlement that meets the aspirations of the Sudanese people and safeguards their national interests.

During the meeting, Minister Abdelatty emphasized the necessity of preserving Sudan’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, as well as the assets of the Sudanese state and its national institutions. He also underscored the importance of intensifying regional and international efforts to halt the conflict through dialogue and negotiation.
