Sudan’s International Litigation Committee Explores Prosecution and Recovery of Militia Assets Abroad

The Sudanese committee tasked with initiating and monitoring international lawsuits against the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, its supporters, and the states backing it, held a meeting on Tuesday, chaired by Minister of Justice Abdullah Darf and attended by committee members.

The meeting discussed the implementation of its proposed plan regarding international and regional litigation against the states supporting the militia before international and regional courts and mechanisms.

The committee also explored legal mechanisms to recover the militia’s assets and those of its members held outside Sudan. The meeting further addressed the legal avenues for prosecuting members and supporters of the Dagalo terrorist militia residing abroad.
