Sudan Loses to Ethiopia in Friendly; Al-Hilal Tests New Players Against Tanzania’s Simba

On Saturday afternoon, Al-Hilal of Sudan will play a friendly match against Simba of Tanzania in the Tanzanian capital, Dar es Salaam, in preparation for the first stretch of the second preliminary round of the African Champions League against San Pedro of Ivory Coast in mid-September.

The team’s technical staff is expected to push the duo, Tunisian Tayeb Ben Zeitoun and Sudanese national Ahmed Esmat “Kenen” after the procedures for including them in the African roster are completed.

The Blue Club’s mission arrived in Dar es Salaam last week with a total of 18 players in the absence of the international players who joined the national team in Ethiopia.

In other news, the Sudanese national football team lost its friendly match on Friday afternoon in Addis Ababa against its Ethiopian counterpart by two goals to none.

The team dubbed “the Falcons of Jediane” is preparing to travel to the South Sudanese capital, Juba, to face the Niger national team on September 4 at Juba International Stadium in the first round of the first stretch of the African Cup of Nations qualifiers (Morocco 2025).
