Spokesperson for Sudan Liberation Movement Denies Militia Lies About Darfur Governor’s Residence
Al-Fasher – Sudanhorizon
The official spokesperson for the Sudan Liberation Movement, Sadiq Ali Noor, has refuted claims circulated by the media and attributed to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) regarding their alleged occupation of the residence of Darfur Regional Governor and Movement Leader Minni Arko Minnawi in Al-Fasher.
In a statement obtained by Al-Muhaqqiq, Noor affirmed that Governor Minnawi does not own any residence in Al-Fasher, Khartoum, or elsewhere. He accused the RSF and their mercenaries of occupying, destroying, and looting civilian homes without any ethical or religious restraint.
Noor stated, “If the militia believes that lies are the shortest path to claiming false victories, the truth shines like the sun. These fabrications no longer deceive anyone except those who propagate and support them.”
He further noted that the militia continues its approach of deceit and false victory claims. Without context or justification, RSF elements and their mercenaries distributed a heavily circulated video claiming to show the occupation of Minnawi’s residence in Al-Fasher.
Noor emphasized that the video in question does not identify the location or the owner of the house shown. He remarked that the militia’s “delusional minds” led them to fabricate the story, celebrate their supposed triumph, and convince themselves of their lies. He added that these falsehoods come after their severe defeats in steadfast Al-Fasher, where they failed to achieve even a single victory.
The spokesperson accused the RSF of being entirely complicit in occupying and looting the homes of innocent civilians, asserting that such actions reveal their moral and ethical shortcomings.
