Sovereign Council’s Humanitarian Affairs Advisor Bids Farewell to UN’s Salami

The Advisor of the Transitional Sovereign Council for Organizations and Humanitarian Work, Lieutenant General Sadiq Ismail Mahmoud, has received Clementine Salami, the UN Resident Coordinator in Sudan, whose term of office in the Sudan came to a close
The meeting reviewed the developments in the humanitarian situation and ways to enhance the partnership between Sudan and the United Nations in this vital field.
Lt. Gen. Sadiq wished the departing UN official success in her future tasks, and urged her to continue supporting Sudan and issues of relevance to the Sudan from her new position.
He also affirmed the advisory’s commitment to continue working with the same spirit with her successor.
For her part, the UN representative expressed her appreciation for the efforts made to enhance humanitarian work in Sudan, confirming the readiness of UN agencies operating in the country to continue full cooperation with the Sovereign Council’s advisory to serve humanitarian work goals and support affected communities in the Sudan.
