Khartoum – Sudanhorizon
The Sudanese Security and Defense Council held its regular meeting on Monday, chaired by Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, Chairman of the Sovereign Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces.
At the beginning of its deliberations, the Council paid tribute to the martyrs of the “Battle of Dignity”—defenseless civilians across the country who were targeted by enemy drones.
The Council’s Rapporteur, Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Hassan Kabron, stated that the meeting reviewed the overall security situation in light of increasing hostile attacks and threats.
The Council reassured the Sudanese people that the measures taken by the relevant authorities are sufficient to thwart these plots.
The Council also discussed the economic situation and its security implications, safeguarding of public’s livelihood, and protection of human rights, while commending the people for standing in defense of the nation.
The Council emphasized the importance of upholding the rule of law, while ensuring the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid to those in need.
Furthermore, the Council directed the relevant authorities—each within its respective domain—to take the necessary actions to dismantle these plots and alleviate the suffering of the citizens.
