SAF: Foiling an Attack on Al-Baraka Area in Blue Nile State

The 4th Infantry Division Command in Damazin of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) announced that it had thwarted a large-scale attack on the Al-Baraka area, south of the Blue Nile.
It reported carrying out a well-executed ambush that resulted in the destruction and capture of several combat vehicles and inflicted heavy losses in lives and equipment on the attacking forces.
On Wednesday morning, forces from the Rapid Support Forces militia, in alliance with the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N), announced they had regained control of the Al-Baraka area and released videos from inside the army’s military base in the town.
Later, Colonel Abadi Al-Tahir, commander of the Al-Naba’ Al-Yaqeen (Certain News) Operation, confirmed that the armed forces and their allies were fully prepared to deal with the attack, noting that the military plan was executed with high precision and ended with a swift victory.
According to the division, the operation demonstrated SAF vigilance and readiness in protecting strategic areas and confronting all attempts to destabilize the security and stability of the Blue Nile region.
