The Chairman of the Supreme Council for Culture, Media, and Communications in River Nile State, Minister Dr. Luay Mustafa Mohammed Al-Hassan, called on investors at the local, regional, and international levels to invest in the state. He said the state now possesses all the elements needed for success, expansion, and marketing.
He noted that River Nile State now has an international airport—Atbara International Airport—which is fully ready for import and export operations. He added that the state also has vast agricultural lands and significant industrial capacity, as well as major industrial cities that have been inaugurated in recent years.
In an exclusive statement to Sudanhorizon, the minister affirmed that the state is capable of accommodating a large number of investors, noting that it has become the “beating heart” of Sudan. He reiterated the state government’s commitment to ensuring that all procedures and requirements for successful investment are made easy and accessible for all visitors interested in investing in the state. He attributed this to the security and stability the state is currently experiencing, along with the provision of all necessary incentives to encourage investment.
The minister added that the state has begun preparing for the post-war phase once the conflict ends and the armed forces achieve victory. He pointed out that River Nile State is now considered one of the safest and most stable states, demonstrating true humanitarian values by hosting and supporting large numbers of displaced Sudanese from across the country since the early days of the war.
He further noted that many of those who arrived in the state have now settled permanently, acquiring property and choosing to live there due to the respect and appreciation they experienced.
Luay stated that Al-Damer locality alone currently hosts more than 400 major investment projects, noting that the significant influx of investors reflects confidence in the favorable and suitable investment climate available in the state.
