Prime Minister: North Kordofan Victories Open the Way to Liberating West Kordofan and Darfur

Khartoum – Sudanhorizon

Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris has congratulated the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and allied forces on the recapture of the cities of Bara, Umm Sayala, and Jabrat Al-Sheikh in North Kordofan State, describing them as having been “liberated from the grip of the rebel terrorist Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia.”

Idris praised the courage and sacrifices of the Sudanese Armed Forces and the supporting forces, paying tribute to those killed in what the government refers to as the Battle of Dignity. He wished a speedy recovery to the wounded and the safe return of those held captive.

The Prime Minister said the “historic and strategic victory” represents an important step towards restoring national sovereignty and strengthening security and stability. He added that it marks the starting point for the liberation of West Kordofan State and the Darfur Region.

Idris also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to restoring essential services and creating the conditions necessary for life to return to normal in the recaptured cities.
