One Billion Riyals from the Saudi Crown Prince’s Personal Funds for “Sakan”

The Director of the Saudi Crown Prince’s Private Office, Bader Al-Asaker,has posted on his Twitter account (formerly known as Twitter X) that Prince Mohammed bin Salman has donated one billion riyals (approximately $267 million) to the “Sakan” Development Housing Foundation in the Kingdom.
Bader Al-Asaker stated: “With a generous donation of one billion riyals from his personal funds to the ‘Sakan’ Development Housing Foundation, and in accordance with His Highness’s directives, the project has been completed across all regions of the Kingdom within 12 months, with the delivery of housing units to eligible families. These units were built by national companies through the integrated efforts of all relevant authorities.”
The “Sakan” Development Housing Foundation is a non-profit organization with an independent legal personality, operating under the umbrella of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, license number 215, according to the official Saudi Press Agency.
The agency noted in a previous report that the foundation’s initiatives enable the non-profit housing sector to find sustainable developmental housing solutions and contribute to improving the quality of life for families in the community. Among its initiatives is the Jood Housing Platform.
