Atbara – Sudanhorizon – Mariam
The Nile River State Government reassured its citizens and guests that the state is fully protected and secured, God willing, through its security services, and confirmed that the army is deployed throughout the state.
The Minister of Culture and Information and government spokesman, Mustafa Mohamed Osman Al-Sharif, told the Sudanhorizon news website that the state’s work is proceeding regularly, noting that the state’s security services are monitoring and observing carefully, and that the march attacks were thwarted by the security services and no one was harmed, and they are nothing more than desperate attempts by the militia to spread panic among the people.
The minister renewed his appeal to citizens on the importance of raising their level of security awareness and pointed out that senior officials in the state are constantly inspecting the security bases spread throughout the state’s borders, and Al-Sharif said that a very large number of the state’s people want to protect their state, as graduation celebrations for the mobilized have been held continuously in the cities and countryside of the state.
He pointed out that the state has opened its doors to those coming to it who were subjected to all forms of violations by the Rapid Support Militia, and that it is still receiving and sheltering delegations of displaced persons. The Minister pointed out that all arrangements for securing and organizing the Sudanese Certificate exams are going well, especially since a large number of Sudanese Certificate students will sit for the certificate exam this year, including students whose families preferred to return from abroad to complete their children’s studies.
