New Spokesperson for the Chairperson of the African Union Commission

The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Mahmoud Ali Yusuf, has appointed Mr. Noor Mohamed Sheikh as his new Spokesperson, succeeding Ms. Ebba Kalondo, whose term has ended.

The new Spokesperson has long served on the administrative staff of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), which is headquartered in Djibouti.
