Minister of Justice Discusses with Military Judiciary Director Accelerating Litigation Procedures for Armed Forces Personnel

The Minister of Justice, Dr. Abdullah Darf, met on Monday morning in his office in Khartoum with the Director of the Military Judiciary Branch, Lieutenant General (Legal) Mahdi Abdulrahman Mohammed, to discuss ways to enhance coordination and cooperation between the Ministry of Justice of Sudan and the military judiciary, as well as to expedite procedures related to legal claims and granting permission to litigate in petitions filed against members of the Sudanese Armed Forces and civil cases before all courts.

According to a press statement issued by the Ministry of Justice’s media office, the meeting also addressed the legal services provided by the ministry to all state institutions. It further discussed a number of related legal matters and the active role of the ministry in overseeing the state’s legal work.

The statement added that the meeting was attended by the Attorney General of the Republic of Sudan and the Head of the Legal Sector, Alaa El-Din Ahmed Al-Sayed, representing the Ministry of Justice, while Major (Legal) Mohammed Ibrahim Ali attended on behalf of the Ministry of Defense of Sudan.
