Minerals Ministry Holds Talks with Egyptian Officials

On Tuesday, Sudanese Minister of Minerals Nour Al-Daem Taha met at his office in Port Sudan with Egyptian Consul General, Ambassador Ahmed Youssef, to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries and open new horizons for investment in the mining sector to serve their mutual interests. The meeting was attended by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Minerals Dr. Hind Siddiq, Director General of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company Mohamed Taher Omar, and the ministry’s Executive Director.

Minister of Minerals Nour Al-Daem Taha affirmed the strength of the historical and fraternal relations linking Sudan and Egypt, praising Cairo’s continued supportive stances toward the Sudanese people in various circumstances and fields.

For his part, the Egyptian Consul General expressed his pleasure with the meeting, stressing his country’s keenness to expand areas of partnership with Sudan in the mining sector and to support ongoing efforts to develop it in a way that contributes to achieving sustainable development for the peoples of both nations.
