Mineral Resources Company Pledges to Address Challenges Facing Mining Operations

The Director General of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company Limited, Mohamed Tahir Omar, has pledged to address all challenges facing mining operations in Al-Qadarif State.

In a joint meeting with the State Government’s Council of Ministers and the Security Committee on Thursday, Omar stated that effective solutions would be implemented to address the problems hindering mining activity in the region.

He further affirmed the company’s commitment to providing full support to the Al-Qadarif State government for the development of the mining sector.

He pledged to resolve all obstacles facing the sector, noting the stability of the mining sector and the achievement of community satisfaction following the implementation of Ministerial Decree No. (90) issued by the Minister of Finance and Economic Planning.

He emphasized the continuation of the partnership with the Al-Qadarif State government and the sponsorship of development projects in 2026.

For her part, the Minister of Finance of Al-Qadarif State, Najat Ahmed Mohamed, has revealed that the mining revenues in the producing localities have contributed significantly to providing services to citizens, in addition to covering all the localities’ expenses, including employee salaries and other expenses.
