Port Sudan – Sudanhorizon
The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, held a phone call today, on Tuesday, with the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. During the call, Al-Burhan reassured the Emir of Qatar of its continued security and stability in light of the attack on Al-Udeid Air Base last night.
The Chairman of the Sovereignty Council expressed the solidarity of the Sudanese government and people with the sisterly State of Qatar, according to a circular issued by the Transitional Sovereignty Council Media Office.
Al-Burhan affirmed Sudan’s condemnation of this attack, which constitutes a clear violation of the principles of international law, the United Nations Charter, and the sovereignty of the sisterly State of Qatar.
The Transitional Council of Ministers Media Office published a brief statement yesterday condemning the Iranian attack on the US base in Qatar, considering it a violation of the airspace and sovereignty of a sisterly state.
