Kamil Idris Reveals the Names of the Ministries

Sudanese Prime Minister Kamil Idris announced the names of his ministers in the upcoming Government of Hope, which comprises 22 ministries.
In a speech on Sudan TV, Kamil outlined their responsibilities, including the Ministries of Defense and Interior, which are concerned with national security; the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Welfare, which represents the cornerstone of the upcoming renaissance; the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Communications, which focuses on keeping pace with the era of artificial intelligence and catching up with it;
The Ministry of Finance creates a prudent financial and administrative policy based on a logical economic understanding that maximizes resources, rationalizes spending, and eliminates all economic distortions; the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, the backbone of the economy, strives to make it the country’s greatest competitive advantage.
He continued: “The Ministry of Animal and Fisheries Resources, a strategic resource that constitutes a major competitive advantage; the Ministry of Minerals, which is concerned with creating a major economic boom in the country; and the Ministry of Energy, which will focus on renewable, alternative, and sustainable energy, such as solar and nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.”
He added, “The Ministries of Education and National Education, and Higher Education and Scientific Research, which are the pillars of the people’s renaissance, are working to attract the best educational and research practices and focus on national education. The Ministry of Health is committed to developing an integrated healthcare system that offers accessible and convenient medical care to all citizens. The Ministry of Environment and Sustainability is developing national strategies and policies aimed at protecting the environment, preserving natural resources, and promoting sustainable development.”
The structure also includes, according to Idris, the Ministry of Federal Governance and Rural Development, to achieve balanced development as the basis for stability. The Ministry of Youth and Sports is aimed at maximizing the role of youth and providing them with the opportunity to lead society. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation is working to convey Sudan’s voice to the world as it should, with an emphasis on peace diplomacy and productive partnerships.
He pointed out that the Ministry of Industry and Trade is focusing on integrated, value-added manufacturing and maximizing exports to achieve a huge trade surplus. The Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport is working to advance the economy, particularly rebuilding what was destroyed by war, with a modern and unconventional vision.
The structure includes the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Tourism, working to keep pace with its global counterparts; the Ministry of Justice, working to consolidate the rule of law by creating a fair and effective judicial system; the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments, which is concerned with houses of worship, instilling the value of moderation in religion and religiosity, combating extremism, and building bridges of tolerance;
In addition, the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs is tasked with coordinating government performance, overcoming challenges, measuring and monitoring the implementation of the national strategy, and ensuring close coordination between the three branches of government (the legislative, executive, and judicial branches).
The Prime Minister announced that the structure will include administrative units, including the Integrity and Transparency Commission, with broad legal powers concerned with combating corruption; the National Council for Economic and Strategic Planning, to build sound planning; and the National Investment Authority, which plays a leading role in attracting foreign and domestic investment.
