Justice Minister Chairs Regular Meeting of the Ministerial Council

Sudan’s Minister of Justice, Dr. Abdullah Dirif, chaired the regular meeting of the Minister of Justice’s Council on Wednesday, with the participation of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice and other council members.
According to a press statement issued by the Ministry’s Media Office, the meeting reviewed several important agenda items, including a revised draft of Minister of Justice Circular No. 2 of 2022, concerning the application of regulations governing the appeal process for legal opinions issued by legal advisers in matters or disputes involving state institutions.
The council also discussed a proposed draft circular outlining the principles and procedures for delegating authority to authenticate government contracts.
In addition, the meeting reviewed ongoing preparations for the Legal Profession Qualifying Examination, stressing the need to complete all remaining requirements as quickly as possible to ensure the examination is held without delay.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a committee was established to study and finalize the wording of the two draft circulars before they are submitted for approval at the council’s next meeting.
The council also recommended convening a meeting of the Council for the Regulation of the Legal Profession next Monday to approve the examination date and initiate the registration process.
