Journalist Killed in RSF Shelling of El Fasher

The Sudanese Journalists Syndicate on Saturday mourned journalist Al-Nour Suleiman, who died of his wounds following a shelling by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on his home in El Fasher, North Darfur.
The death of Al-Nour, who was transferred to the Saudi Hospital immediately after being injured in the shelling on Friday, sparked widespread anger and condemnation among journalists, who mourned him and condemned his death.
The Syndicate said in a statement that it “mourns with deep sadness and sorrow journalist Al-Nour Suleiman Al-Nour, who died of his wounds following a shelling by the Rapid Support Forces that targeted his home in El Fasher.”
It noted that the deceased worked as a correspondent for Radio Al-Salam from Al-Maliha locality, and later El Fasher. He also worked as an editor and presenter at Radio El Fasher, in addition to holding the position of Director of Media for the North Darfur Governor’s Office.
