International Centre for Political and Strategic Studies Resumes Activities from Port Sudan

The International Center for Political and Strategic Studies resumed its post-war activities today (Sunday) from the administrative capital of Port Sudan with a workshop titled “International Models of Transitional Constitutions – Sudan’s Constitutional Experiences.” This event is part of the centre’s primary focus during this phase, themed “A Vision for Transition Programs.”

In the opening session, Dr Abdulaziz Nour Ashar, the centre’s director-general, provided an overview of the centre’s mission, activities, and areas of interest. He noted that the centre was established in 2022 and emphasized its commitment to supporting state institutions with specialized studies to help them perform their national duties effectively. The centre also aims to contribute to informing public opinion and policymakers with the knowledge it produces.

Legal expert Nabeel Adeeb presented the workshop’s main paper, “Sudan’s Transitional Constitutions. ” The presentation covered Sudan’s constitutional experiences from the first transitional constitution in 1953 to the 2005 Interim Constitution. Attorney Yahya Al-Hussein moderated the session.
