Intermediate Schools Exams in Khartoum State Put on Hold

The Ministry of Education in Khartoum State announced in a statement today (Wednesday) the suspension of classes in all primary and intermediate schools starting from next Sunday, March 29, 2026, until Monday, April 6.

A statement issued by the state said that this measure is intended to prepare the school environment and free up examination centers to conduct the intermediate certificate exams scheduled during this period.

The statement clarified that the suspension applies to all educational institutions in the state, whether public or private. It also includes a ban on any educational or extracurricular activities in public places throughout the exam period, to ensure maximum discipline and provide a suitable environment for students sitting for exams across all localities of the state.

Classes at all educational levels are scheduled to resume on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, immediately after the completion of the examinations.

The ministry called on school administrations and parents to adhere to the announced academic calendar, affirming its commitment to maintaining the stability of the academic year in a way that serves the interests of students and the educational process.
