Sudan Urges International Community to Designate RSF “Terrorist Entity”

The Sudanese government has urged the international community to classify the Rapid Support Militia as a “terrorist organization” and to consider those foreign actors supporting it as “state sponsors of terrorism”.
In a statement he issued on Thursday, the Sudanese minister for Culture and Information has meanwhile expressed his country’s appreciation for statements issued by foreign governments condemning the attacks of the Rapid Support militia which used suicide drones to destroy vital facilities in a number of Sudanese cities.
Khaled Al-Aisar, the Minister for Culture and Information, the official spokesman for the Sudanese government, has pinpointed in the statement the government of Sudan appreciates the statement by US Administration that unequivocally spoke about the crimes committed by the Rapid Support Militia, and of deliberate targeting of innocent civilians.
The minister also commends the statement issued by the EU in which the EU strongly condemned the use of suicide and strategic drones by the Rapid Support Militia to attack vital facilities and infrastructure in a number of cities in Sudan.
The Spokesperson stressed that his country applauds their description of these criminal operations as acts supported by international bodies, and “We reiterate the need to classify this militia as a terrorist organization, while calling for the designation of the international bodies referred to in the EU statement as state sponsors of terrorism.”
Al-Asir has called for the condemnation of foreign experts involved in the operation of drone systems, in accordance with US, European and international laws, and for the support and supply provided by these bodies, led by the UAE, to a militia that committed crimes against humanity and genocide in Sudan, killing tens of thousands of innocent people, including the elderly, women and children.
The Sudanese Minister of Information expressed his country’s appreciation for all statements recently issued by sister and neighboring countries, and from friends in the region and the world.
