IGAD Executive Secretary from Khartoum: Sudan’s Future Belongs to Its People

The Executive Secretary of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu, arrived in Khartoum on Thursday on an official visit. He was received at Khartoum International Airport by Sudan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Mohi El-Din Salem.
During his visit, the IGAD chief is expected to hold meetings with Sudanese leaders to assess the situation on the ground and conduct high-level discussions on ways to achieve lasting peace.
Speaking upon his arrival, Dr. Workneh said:
“Sudan’s future belongs to the Sudanese people. IGAD remains committed to supporting their efforts toward dialogue, peace, and recovery.”
