Governor Inspects Restoration of Essential Services in Down Town Khartoum

Khartoum Governor, Ahmed Osman Hamza, on Saturday inspected the progress of work in Al-Muqran area, Al-Ghaba Street, and downtown Khartoum to assess the services provided, as part of his government’s efforts to rebuild and improve services following the extensive damage to infrastructure.
The tour included Al-Muqran Health Center, where he stood on the completion of maintenance work as part of the state government’s plan to rehabilitate service facilities.
The governor directed the swift provision of necessary medical equipment and the staffing the center with medics in preparation for resuming its services this week. He emphasized the importance of restoring health facilities to operation, given their fundamental role in stabilizing the living and health conditions of the population.
For his part, the Acting Director General of the Khartoum State Ministry of Health, Taha Al-Kabashi, announced the completion of all technical and administrative arrangements for the reopening of Al-Muqran Health Center later this week.
He noted that this step is part of the Ministry of Health’s policy aimed at completing the network of primary healthcare facilities and revitalizing the health system in the state.
The Governor of Khartoum also inspected the rehabilitation work on Al-Ghaba Street, which is part of the state’s infrastructure rehabilitation projects. He reviewed the ongoing efforts to complete the earthworks, which are nearing completion, in preparation for laying the asphalt layer. This will improve traffic flow and facilitate the movement of citizens.
The Governor’s tour also included downtown Khartoum, where he observed the removal of debris and rubble, the cleaning of streets and affected areas, and the efforts undertaken by the Khartoum locality to improve the overall environment and enhance the capital’s urban landscape.
The Governor also inspected the rehabilitation work on Al-Qasr Street, emphasizing the need to expedite the work and ensure coordination among relevant authorities to complete the projects on schedule and to the required standards.
