Gen.Al-Atta Vows Attacks on Militia from “All Directions,” Asserts Security Council and UAE Will Not Stop SAF

The Sudanese Chief of Staff of the Army and member of the Sovereign Council, Yasser al-Atta, stated on Tuesday that the UN Security Council and the United Arab Emirates will not be able to halt the army’s advance. He announced the army’s determination to launch attacks on the Rapid Support Forces militia from “all directions.”
Al-Atta’s statements come days after the United States submitted a proposal to the UN Security Council calling for the expansion of the arms embargo on Darfur to include all of Sudan, including drones.
Addressing reserve forces in western Omdurman, al-Atta said that the coming days would witness significant action.
He continued, addressing the recruits: “You will move, and your brothers will move from many directions. Praise be to Allah all capabilities are available. By air and land, we will attack them from every direction. Every direction will have one or two units moving. The skies are full.” Al-Atta continued, saying, “The Security Council cannot stop us, nor can the UAE or the conspiring countries in the region, because we are in the right.”
The Chief of Staff emphasized that the country and the Sudanese Armed Forces ( SAF)would not collapse, affirming their ability to decisively defeat the rebellion and secure and protect the Sudanese people from the crimes of the “terrorist militia.”
He added, “These terrorists and the UAE, the sponsor of terrorism, will not prevail in our country, and terrorism will have no foothold in Sudan.”
Last July, the army, through a swift military operation, managed to recapture vast areas in North Kordofan State, including Bara, Jabra al-Sheikh, Umm Sayala, and Umm Garfa. This advance redrew the map of control in the state and paved the way for military movements toward areas near Darfur.
Concurrently, SAF continues to carry out airstrikes and drone attacks on Rapid Support Forces militias positions and strongholds in Kordofan and Darfur regions, in a move aimed at weakening their defensive and offensive capabilities and creating the conditions for broader ground operations.
