Foreign Minister Receives Congratulations from Russian Counterpart following Chinese

Sudan’s acting foreign minister, Ambassador Dr. Ali Youssef, received a congratulatory message from Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov about his recent appointment.
According to a press release from the spokesperson for Sudan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lavrov expressed his commitment to strengthening joint efforts to enhance friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries and wished Dr Youssef success in his important role.
On Friday, the acting foreign minister also received a similar message from Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, congratulating him on assuming office and expressing a desire to enhance bilateral relations. This follows agreements and strategic directives discussed between President Burhan and President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum in Beijing in early September.
