FM Undersecretary: Burhan’s Visit to Saudsi Arabia Successful

The Chairman of the Sovereign Council, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, has returned to Port Sudan , |Monday evening, concluding a brief visit to Saudi Arabia during which he held talks with the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Muawiya Othman stated that the visit to Riyadh was friendly and successful. During the visit, the Chairman of the Sovereign Council discussed with HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman the course of bilateral relations between the two sister countries and ways to strengthen, develop, and elevate them to broader horizons through a sustainable strategic partnership, via the Strategic Cooperation Council, sponsored by the leadership of both countries.

Al-Burhan expressed Sudan’s gratitude and appreciation for the significant and valuable efforts exerted by the Crown Prince and his wise government to achieve peace and stability in Sudan.

He commended the Crown Prince’s wise vision and comprehensive perspective on establishing peace and stability throughout the region, enhancing economic cooperation, and achieving strategic partnerships among its peoples.
Al-Burhan also expressed his full appreciation for President Trump’s commitment to engaging in peace efforts and ending the war in the country, in partnership with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He emphasized Sudan’s keenness to work with President Trump, his Secretary of State, and his envoy for peace in Sudan in order to achieve this noble objective.
