Drone attacks by the terrorist Rapid Support Forces militia on transformer stations have deepened the electricity crisis in River Nile State. Yesterday morning, on Sunday, a drone targeted the Berber transformer power station, the main feeder for the Berber Cement Factory located in the Shaqla area, south of Berber city.

According to local sources and eyewitnesses who spoke to the Sudanhorizon news website, the attack on the station led to a complete power outage in Berber locality, similar to other localities in the state that have been without electricity since the attack on the Atbara transformer station last Friday.

The targeted Shaqla transformer station is an important feeder for large parts of Berber city and its suburbs, in addition to supplying the entire Al-Takamul plant located on the west bank of the Nile River, as well as the Abu Hamad locality.
