Defense Industries Systems Issues a Warning for Those Returning

Sudanhorizon – Follow-ups
The Voluntary Return Project Committee set by the Defense Industries Systems to oversee the travel of Sudanese wishing to return to the country via train from Ramses Station in downtown Cairo, said it has noted that a number of Sudanese families arrived at the train station on Monday, July 28, without having booked or been notified in advance, resulting in their failure to be able to travel this time.
The committee would like to draw the attention of all Sudanese wishing to return home within this programme, that the travel is possible through pre-registration on the voluntary return lists, and the principle of first come first served is applied here.
It pointed out that those whose names are on the travel lists for the specified date will be contacted a day or two in advance to report at the specified time and place.
The committee also wishes to alert Sudanese wishing to return home against cases of some individuals and entities with no legal standing, are making use of the people’s desire to return, to bluff them in various forms of fraud, sometimes using the title of the committee to that end.
These individuals, the committee warns, often disappear on the date of the travel, as happened to Sudanese citizens in Alexandria most recently.
Therefore, the committee urges all those who choose to travel through the system to exercise caution so as not to fall victim to these schemes
