CBS and Ministry of Finance Discuss Unifying Visions and Integrating Roles

The Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning and the Central Bank of Sudan (CBS) have affirmed the importance of unifying visions and integrating roles among the state’s financial and economic institutions, in order to serve the public interest and achieve national economic objectives.

A statement issued by the Central Bank of Sudan, indicated that the meeting “comes within the framework of strengthening ongoing coordination and consultation between the Central Bank of Sudan (CBS)and the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning.”

The meeting, which brought together the DBS Governor , Amina Mirghani, and the Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Dr. Jibril Ibrahim, at the Governor’s office in Port Sudan Thursday, discussed a number of priority issues in financial, monetary, and economic domains during the current phase.

The meeting addressed ways to support macroeconomic stability, monitor local, regional, and international developments and their impact on the national economy, and discuss financial and monetary policies to address existing challenges and enhance economic recovery and development efforts.
