The Sudan Liberation Army (SLA) congratulated the great Sudanese people, particularly those in Al-Jazirah State and the city of Wad Madani.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the SLA praised the heroic efforts of the armed forces and joint forces from the armed struggle movements. The statement highlighted the forces’ remarkable victory over the insurgent Rapid Support Forces (RSF) after a well-coordinated siege lasting several days. During the battle, the brave Sudanese forces defeated the RSF, destroyed their military equipment, seized a significant amount of weaponry in good condition, and scattered the enemy forces, leaving behind a large number of fallen mercenaries.
The statement described the victory achieved on Saturday, January 11, as one of the most epic and heroic battles, where the RSF insurgents were taught powerful lessons in resilience, courage, and steadfastness. A significant number of RSF personnel were killed in the battle.
The SLA extended warm congratulations to the armed forces and the joint forces, commending their bravery in humiliating the insurgent militias. The movement also praised the Sudanese people for standing resolutely behind their armed forces, joint forces, and popular support units, showcasing incredible examples of endurance, solidarity, and unity.
The statement emphasized that this victory belongs to the Sudanese people, asserting their determination is crucial in overcoming the enemy. It further declared that the Sudanese people’s resolve continues to thwart the enemy’s flawed calculations.
The SLA concluded its statement with a triumphant message:
“Long live the free, proud, and victorious Sudanese people. God is great, and may the eyes of cowards never rest.”
