CBoS Revokes Sudan Pay Digital’s Mobile Payment License

Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan, Amna Mirghani Hassan Al-Tom, issued Administrative Decision No. (65) of 2026 on Monday, revoking the license granted to Sudan Pay Digital to operate in the field of mobile payments and as a financial transaction switching operator.

The decision was based on the powers vested in the Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan under Article 16 (1/b) of the Banking Business Regulation Act of 2026, Article 11 (1/f) of the Regulation on Licensing and Regulating the Business of Mobile Payment Financial Institutions of 2020, and Article 7 (1/a) of the Regulation Governing Payment Systems of 2013, according to a press circular issued by the Corporate Communications Department of the Central Bank of Sudan.

The decision instructed all relevant authorities to implement its provisions.
