CAF: Local Championship Schedule Unchanged

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that the African Nations Championship for local players will be held on schedule from February 1 to 28 in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania. The Confederation has stressed that there was no intention to postpone it, as reported by some websites.

In an official statement on Monday, CAF announced that the tournament draw will be held at the Kenyatta International Conference Center in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, on Wednesday, January 15th, at 7 pm Sudan time.

Sudan is participating in the tournament having beaten its Ethiopian counterpart at the end of last month by winning both the home and away marches.
