Burhan Tours Khartoum State Hospitals, Orders Immediate Reopening of Al-Shaab Hospital

The Chairman of the Sovereign Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, inspected a number of public hospitals in Khartoum State on Wednesday , including Al-Shaab Teaching Hospital, the Dental Hospital, and the Maternity Hospital in Omdurman.

During the tour, the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council listened to reports on the hospitals’ conditions, workflow, and needs for rehabilitation, maintenance, equipment, and medical supplies. He also reviewed the obstacles hindering the restoration of their services, according to a press release issued by the Sovereignty Council’s media office.
The Chairman of the Sovereign Council directed the immediate reopening of Al-Shaab Teaching Hospital and the resumption of its medical and health services. He also directed that the necessary support be provided to expedite the rehabilitation of all hospitals he toured in the state.
Furthermore, he directed the follow-up on the implementation of rehabilitation work and the fulfillment of needs in coordination between the Federal Ministry of Health and the Khartoum State Ministry of Health, to ensure the hospitals’ readiness and enhance the health services provided to people.
