Burhan Announces Plans for a Sudanese All-Inclusive Political Dialogue

On Tuesday, the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, announced plans to launch a comprehensive political dialogue. This dialogue aims to establish the basis for national reconstruction and governing principles that will unify Sudan, end its recurring crises, and determine the completion of the civilian democratic transition.
He affirmed that the Sudanese government will provide all necessary support to ensure the success of this dialogue, which will take place within Sudan and will be attended by all those directly affected by the crisis.
In his address to the nation, marking Eid al-Adha, Burhan emphasized that the Sudanese people will not accept the outcomes of conferences and dialogues held in foreign capitals, which he described as being bought and sold.
He added that the Sudanese people will not accept solutions or dictates imposed upon them that are based on ideological or doctrinal principles or beholden to the desires of foreign powers.
He stressed that the Sudanese government will extend invitations to all national forces except those whose hands are stained with the blood of the Sudanese people and will commit to providing all necessary support for the success of the dialogue and the implementation of its outcomes.
Al-Burhan explained that this holiday comes as the capital recovers, and the Sudanese people prove every day that they are stronger and braver than any conspiracy.
He saluted the faithful, patient, and steadfast people who stood together to protect their land and homeland, holding fast to the bonds of patriotism, unity, and dignity. They did not falter, weaken, or compromise their loyalty to their country for anyone. He emphasized that they deserve every effort to provide them with services, security, and their basic needs.
The Chairman of the Sovereign Council also affirmed that the continued support of the citizens, their solidarity, and their fight alongside their valiant army are the safeguards of this country’s unity and stability, and the fuel for completing the cleansing of all parts of Sudan from the scourge of rebellion and eradicating the “Dagalo gang” that has oppressed segments of the Sudanese people, impoverishing and destroying them, stripping them of security, and clothing them in fear, panic, and poverty.
