From beneath the flames and smoke of the battlefields and out of the heroic stands shown by El-Fashir city emerged the story of (Asia Khalifa) , the war correspondent in the western region, as she identifies herself.

She stands out as one of the women of North Darfur state, who fight with honour in defence of their children, but she is equally a soldier with the 6th Infantry Division of the Sudanese National Army.

Asia Khalifa was famous as a brave warrior, a replica of the Sudanese historic female fighters, clad in military fatigue with a Kalashnikov rifle on her shoulder, and in the other hand, she holds the camera that has always kept her company, through which she disseminates day by day, messages reflecting the victories in the battlefields using

to this end, attractive local accents and local dialects of local dialect, displaying this wonderful human mixture of sacrifices and of standing courageously in the face of the aggressors.

For more than a year, Asia has been in the field, reporting stories and documenting developments for both her superiors and for the Sudanese people, not only from within the city of Al Fashir, but equally venturing to take videos and photographic tours from the outskirts of the historic city, between the acacia trees and the golden sand, and most recently, of course, when she succeeded in

broadcasting video clips from about 40 kilometres from Al Fashir, showing in concrete proves that the security situation was stable, contrary to the military propaganda of the Rapid Support Militia has been depicted as the militia relying on attacks to be followed by artillery shelling that targets civilian and public establishments to destroy them from far away distances.

Perhaps what drew attention most to Asia Khalifa is that she is the only war correspondent in the western region, and she is almost the moral link between the army and the joint forces in Al Fashir and the rest of the Sudanese people, as she knows how to spur the enthusiasm of the soldiers. And for this reason, she was recently promoted from a private to the rank of sergeant, in implementation of an order issued by the Commander-in-Chief to promote all forces that have been participating in the National Dignity Battle. The story of her promotion sparked a huge interest and enthusiasm in Sudanese social media platforms.

In addition to being an affiliate of the military establishment and documenting the most important battles, with a tone well saturated with patriotic enthusiasm, she personified the bright image of the Darfur woman who defends her cause valiantly and is not intimidated by threats. She and hundreds of hundreds of women who hold to the land refuse to leave the historic city, providing services tirelessly in the central kitchens and working in hospital shifts but at the same time keeping their fingers on the triggers of their guns.
