Army Anti-Aircraft Defenses Intercept Suicide Drones Targeting Merowe on Monday

The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) have intercepted drones targeting vital, strategic, and service-related areas in Merowe locality, Northern State, early morning (Monday).

A statement issued by the 19th Infantry Division Command in Merowe said that ground defenses intercepted a number of suicide drones launched by the rebel Rapid Support Forces militia, attempting to target the 19th Infantry Division headquarters, Merowe Air Base, and the Merowe Dam. The statement added that the anti-aircraft defenses successfully intercepted and shot down all the drones before they reached their targets.

The 19th Infantry Division Command affirmed its complete readiness to confront any threats to the Northern State and its vital installations.
