Agar Reiterates the Government’s Commitment to Facilitating Medical Teams’ Work

Vice President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Commander Malik Aqar Air, affirmed the government’s endeavor and keenness to deliver humanitarian aid to those who deserve it and facilitate the work of relief teams, medical teams, and employees of organizations working in the humanitarian field to carry out their role in providing humanitarian aid, especially medical aid.
When he met in his office in Port Sudan, on Monday, with the International President of Doctors Without Borders, Christos Christou, he pledged to overcome all obstacles facing the provision of humanitarian aid to citizens in the targeted states and to grant visas for teams and employees of international and regional organizations and relevant bodies.
He stressed the need to protect medical facilities, medical teams, and employees of working organizations in order to enable them to provide medical assistance to those affected by the war.
For his part, Christos Christou explained in a press statement that the meeting discussed many issues related to the humanitarian needs of the population in Sudan, and the importance of reaching all places affected by the war.
He expressed his appreciation for the cooperation he found from the Government of Sudan and its serious commitment to continuing joint work and coordination in order to provide medical and humanitarian services to citizens.
