Arab Organization of Red Crescent and Red Cross Societies Secretary General Visits Sudan

The Secretary General of the Arab Organization of Red Crescent and Red Cross Societies in Riyadh, Dr. Abdullah bin Suhail, arrived in Port Sudan on Sunday evening.

He was received by the President of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society, Dr. Abdul Rahman Bilal Balaid, and the Secretary General of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society, Ahmed Al-Tayeb Suleiman.

The visit aims to assess the humanitarian situation in Sudan and identify humanitarian needs, as well as to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to support those affected by the war.

The visit is scheduled to last three days, during which a number of meetings will be held with state officials.

The Secretary General of the Arab Organization of Red Crescent and Red Cross Societies in Riyadh affirmed the organization’s commitment to providing humanitarian assistance and helping Sudan overcome its current circumstances. He noted that the visit will focus on identifying the basic needs of the humanitarian situation in the Sudan.
