Announcement of Sudan Premier League Group Allocations

The Sudanese Football Association’s Competitions Committee announced on Thursday the group allocations for the upcoming Sudan Premier League, which will kick off on January 10, 2025.

Tournament Format:
The championship will take place across 10 cities, including Dongola, Merowe, Rabak, Kenana, Kosti, Al-Gadarif, Kassala, Abu Hamad, Al-Damar, and Berber. A total of 23 teams are participating.
The top-tier clubs, Al-Hilal and Al-Merrikh, will compete in the Super Stage to determine Sudan’s representatives in African club competitions.
Preparations:
A committee formed by the General Football Association recently inspected the stadiums hosting the matches to ensure readiness. The committee also met with local associations and concluded its visits on Sunday by holding discussions with state leaders and government officials, including the Secretary-General of the Sovereign Council and the Minister of Youth and Sports.
