The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, has saluted the officers, non-commissioned officers, and privates of the Sudanese Armed Forces, the supporting forces, and those mobilized in defense of the national cause and those who sacrificed everything in the Battle of Dignity, in defense of the honor and dignity of the Sudanese people.

During his participation in the Ramadan Iftar (fast-breaking) organized by the Tribal chief of the Rubatab, Khalifa Sheikh al-Saim, in the “Al-Gezira Muqrat” area of Abu Hamad, River Nile State, Burhan said SAF will not let the Sudanese people down and will work with all its might in defense of the honor and dignity of the nation.

He added, “The Battle of Dignity is proceeding towards its goals of eradicating the rebellion and cleansing the homeland of the rebels’ defilement.”
He added that “there will be no truce, no ceasefire, and no reconciliation with the militias until they lay down their arms.”
The Chairman of the Sovereign Council stated that the government ultimate goal is to liberate the country from the rebellion, pinpointing that the rebels’ objective has been to seize control of the homeland, its resources, and its achievements. He emphasized that the SAF and the people stand united against these schemes.

Burhan added,”our plan is to cleanse the country of any individual, party, or entity that seeks to seize its resources and capabilities,” stressing that no one can hijack the Sudanese state.
Burhan said, “We don’t recognize the Muslim Brotherhood, the National Congress Party, or the Communists; we only recognize the Sudanese people, and we will live and die beside them.”
Burhan indicated that even politicians currently outside the Sudan can return if they renounce their current stands and embrace the right path, “then they will be welcomed.”
Burhan spoke about the peaceful coexistence enjoyed by River Nile State, stating that it should serve as a model for all other states. He explained that all ethnicities and tribes have coalesced into a cohesive national fabric, noting that the state has welcomed many citizens displaced by the war. He directed the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company to make optimal use of its corporate social responsibility resources and direct them towards the people of the region to serve service and development projects.
